Majapaikkamme sijaitsee mahtavalla paikalla Hennefin kylän yläpuolella ja olohuoneesta on näkymä hevoslaitumelle. Aamuisin lähden ennen aamiaista Tamin ja Vessen kanssa aamulenkille vuoren rinnettä alas laakson pohjalle, hetken matkaa joen viertä ja sitten vuoren rinnettä ylös. On muuten näin huonokuntoiselle ihmiselle aikamoinen ponnistus kavuta tuo rinne J Muuten en ole tavannut ketään matkalla mutta kun pääsen naama tulipunaisena puuskuttaen ylös tulee aina joku ihminen vastaan ja iloisesti huikkaa hyvät huomenet. Minusta myös näyttää, että heillä on ollut hieman huvittuneet ilmeet minut nähdesään.
Eilen suuntasimme ensin kohti Meckenheimin kenttää harjoitellaksemme Jogin antamia ”kotiläksyjä”. Pari kierrosta tottelevaisuutta ja pikainen kahvitauko ja yhtäkkkiä kello oli niin paljon, että oli lähdettävä kohti Köln-Pollin kenttää. Koiramme oppivat ”läksyt” ja olimme tietysti tuloksiin ihan tyytyväisiä todeten kuitenkin, että toivottavasti kaikki onnistuvat myös Jogin silmien alla ja pääsisimme etenemään. Köln-Pollissa oli täysi tohina päällä, sillä olihan heillä normaali treeni-ilta. Tapasimme ennestään tuttuja ja myös uusia kasvoja. Jogi saapui ajallaan paikalle ja ensin nopea tottelevaisuuskierros vain näyttääksemme päivän saldon. Täytyy sanoa, että koiramme olivat jopa parempia kuin Meckenheimissa ja Jogikin oli tyytyväinen näkemäänsä.
Vielä ennen suojelutreenejä katsoimme Jogin tottisharjoituksia sekä Moseksen että uuden nartun Viperin kanssa. Myös mm. Jenny Ginoginellinsa kanssa teki jälleen näyttäviä tottisharjoituksia. Tämän parin harjoituksia olisi jälleen voinut katsella pidempäänkin.
Tami pääsi ensimmäisenä suojelutreeneihin ja sen kanssa keskityttiin aktiivisuuten haukussa maalimiehen edessä ja lisäksi harjoittelimme selkäkuljetuksen alkeita. Tamissa näkyi selvästi treenikestävyyden puute mutta muuten olin tyytyväinen koiraani. Vessen suhteen kävi niin, ettei sillä otettu suojelutreeniä eilen lainkaan sillä Jogi unohti sen ja toiseksi treenattavia koiria oli niin paljon muutenkin. Vessellä otetaan suojelutreeni keskiviikkona. Muiden koirien treenit sujuivat vaihtelevasti jokaisen keskittyessä omiin treenattavin asioihin.
Purujen jälkeen teimme vielä kierroksen tottelevaisuutta tarkoituksena edetä harjoituksissa. Näin teimmekin ja jälleen olivat sekä me että koiramme enemmän tai vähemmän kuutamolla. Omien aivojen kapasiteetti alkoi myös olemaan sen verran koetuksella, että ihan ei tuntunut siltä, että olisi laatikon terävin veitsi. Mutta ilman suurempaa katastrofia selviittiin. Keskiviikkona on edessä uusi päivä ja uudet kujeet.
Our house is located on a beautiful place over Hennef town and from the living room we have a view over a horse pasture. In the mornings I take Tami and Vesse for a walk down the hill to the valley, a moment along the river and up the hill again. I can sure you it’s an effort for a person with this poor condition J Otherwise I haven’t met anyone during these walks except when I come with my face turned red and gasping for air. I think their expression is amused when they see me and cheerfully say Good Morning.
Yesterday we headed for Meckenheim to do our “homework”. Few rounds of obedience and a quick coffee break and suddenly the clock was so much that we had to start to drive to Köln-Poll training field. Our dogs learned their “lessons” and of course we were happy with the results but noted and hoped that everyone would also succeed under Jogi’s eyes and could move forward. There was a full hustle going on In Köln-Poll. Of course, it was a normal training evening. We met people we knew and some new ones. Jogi came in time and we did a quick obedience round just to show what we had succeeded during the day. I have to say, that our dogs were better than in Meckenheim and also Jogi seemed to be satisfied.
Before protection training we watched Jogi training with Moses and his new female Viper. Also Jenny worked with her Ginoginelli doing once again imposing things. One could watch this pair training for a longer time.
Tami was the first dog in protection and we concentrated with her in activity in barking in front of the helper and fundamentals in back transport. One could see in Tami the lack of training endurance but otherwise I was happy with my dog. With Vesse we didn’t do any protection yesterday at all because Jogi forgot the dogs existence and also because there were so many dogs to train. We will train Vesse in protection on Wednesday. The training of other dogs went variably and all the handlers focused on their own things to train.
After bite work we still did one round of obedience with the aim of moving forward. This we did and once again both our dogs and we were more or less confused. The capacity of own brains started to come to its end and the feeling was that maybe I’m not the sharpest knife in the box. But we managed to get thru without bigger catastrophe. Wednesday is a new day with new tricks.
