Osallistuimme saksalaiseen seminaariin osittain koska halusimme treenejä koirillemme ja osittain mielenkiinnosta. Saapuessamme Köln-Pollin kentälle meitä odotti aamiainen jonka aikana Jenny toivotti kaikki osallistujat tervetulleiksi. Fläppitaululla esiteltiin aihealueet ja jokainen sai kertoa mitä halusi koiransa kanssa harjoittelevan. Oma valinta osui Tobias Oleynikin ryhmään. Olin jo aikaisemmin ajatellut, että olisi mielenkiintoista päästä Tobiaksen ryhmään jos vaikka saisi uusia näkökulmia / ideoita tottikseen. Tobias osoittautui odotuksien mukaan aivan erinomaiseksi tottiskouluttajaksi omaten erittäin taitavan esiintymistaidon. Tosin jälleen kerran kävi, kuten aikaisemminkin, ettei sitä päässyt toteuttamaan suunnitelmaansa vaan joutui palaamaan back to the basics. Olin valinnut Vessen harjoituskoirakseni ja perusharjoituksen jälkeen totesin kuitenkin Tobiakselle, että osaa se sentään joitain temppuja. Näin näytimme Vessen pyörimisen ja lupasin Tobiakselle opettaa se pyörimän seuraavaksi käskystä oikealle tai vasemmalle. Lauantaina teimme vain yhden kierroksen tottista ja sen jälkeen suojeluhallintaa mutta ennen sitä kuitenkin lounastauko. Päivä oli kesäinen joten kannoimme pöydän ja tuolit ulos ja nautimme lounaan auringon lämmössä. Lounaan jälkeen porukka jaettiin kahteen ryhmään. Tobias harjoitteli haukkumista pallokoneelle ja Jogi selkäkuljetuksen alkeita. Menin tällä kertaa Jogin ryhmään. Olemme Suomessa harjoitelleet tuota asiaa mutta tällä kertaa sitä tehtiin täysin eri tavalla. Ja taas sai kokea tuon jalon epäonnistumisen tunteen J Iltapäivällä oli sitten vuorossa purut. Koirien ja ohjaajien taso oli erittäin vaihteleva ja osa teki pelkkää hallintaa. Meille oli tämä osio helpoin siinä mielessä, etä olimme jo neljän päivän ajan ehtineet työstää koiriamme Jogin kanssa.
Illalla tultuamme majapaikalle huomasin viestin tulleen Finnlinesiltä puhelimeen. Saimme tiedon, että laivamme on hajonnut ja paluu kotiin viivästyisi yhdellä vuorokaudella. Voi pahus mikä tuuri!!!! J J
We attended a seminar here in Germany for two reasons. We wanted to train our dogs and for the curiosity. When we arrived to Köln-Poll there was breakfast waiting for us and during breakfast Jenny welcomed all of us. On a billboard there were different obedience parts divided into two groups and we all got to say what we wanted to do with our dogs. My own choice got me into Tobias Oleynik’s group. I had already earlier thought that it would be interesting to get into his group and maybe gain some new perspective / ideas for obedience. Tobias was all one could hope for proving to be excellent trainer and having very skillful performance. But once again, like before, one could not fulfill the plan and had to go back to the basics. I had chosen Vesse to be my seminar dog and after the basic training I told Tobias that at least he can do some schicki micki. So we showed Tobias Vesse do the roll over and I promised Tobias to teach him do it on command to left or right. On Saturday we did only one round of obedience and after that obedience in protection but before that we had a lunch break. The day was like I the summer so we carried out the table and chairs and enjoyed our lunch in the warmth of sunshine. After the lunch we divided our gang into two groups. Tobias did with his group barking to the ball machine and Jogi did the beginning of back transport. This time I went to Jogi’s group. We have done back transport in Finland but this time everything had changed and once again I got to feel that noble feeling of failure J Later in the afternoon we started the protection work. The level of dogs and handlers differed a lot and some did only obedience in protection. To us this was the easiest part in the way when we had trained already for 4 days with Jogi.
In the evening when we came to our house I noticed a sms from Finnlines on my mobile. We were informed that one machine had broken down on our ship and our journey home would be delayed with one day. Oh damn what a luck !!!! J J
