Eilen illalla annoin pennuille ensimmäiset maistiaiset jauhelihasta. Ei kulunut kuin hetki ennenkuin älysivät millaisesta herkusta on kyse. Onneksi niillä ei ole vielä hampaita sillä muuten olisivat sormet olleet verillä. Hauskinta oli huomata miten hyvin ne käyttivät nenäänsä. Jauhelihaa tippui sormien välistä pentulaatikon pohjalle ja kaverit aloittivat välittömästi ruoan etsimisen sieltä. Ensimmäiset jälkiharjoitukset on siis tehty :-) Paljoa uutta herkkua en tietenkään antanut niille ja siitä syntyikin hyvin äänekäs protesti. Olivat varmaan sitä mieltä, että hitto kun ei kukaan ole näiden kolmen viikon aikana kertonut maailmassa olevan muutakin ravintoa kuin tuota iänikuista maitoa. Tästä se alkaa kiinteän ruoan syönti.
Yesterday evening I gave the puppies first taste of mince meat. It took only a little while for them to realize what kind of delicacy we are talking about. Thank God they don't have teeth, otherwise my fingers would have been bloody. Funniest thing was to see how they used their noses. Some of the meat fell on the floor of the box and the guys started immediately to search the food from there. Their first tracking practice :-) Of course I didn't give them much of the new delicacy and the result of that was very loud protest. They must have been of the opinion that hell nobody told us in these three weeks that there is other food than that eternal milk in the world. From here starts eating firm food.
