Pienet hirviöt / Little monsters

Pentujen oma HopLop ei enää riitä niille - ainakaan niiden omasta mielestä. Viime viikonloppuna yksi tytöistä yksinkertaisesti hyppäsi sohvalle ja siitä selkänojan kautta yläkertaan ja vapauteen muiden huutaessa suoraa huutoa, koska ne eivät yksinkertaisesti tajunneet miten tämä tapahtui. Viikonloppuna kävi myös pentujen katsojia ja pari lähti uusiin koteihinsa, joista ikäväkseni täytyy sanoa, että toinen palautuu tänään takaisin kotiin. Palautuksen syy ei johdu pennusta. Ikävää pennulle tällainen edestakainen reissaaminen mutta nyt se saa jäädä kotiin joksikin aikaa ennenkuin siitä tulee jonkun toisen perheenjäsen. Ehkä tuo kiireinen perjantai ja lauantai teki sen, että lauantai-iltana olin melkoisen väsynyt. Illalla päästin pennut vielä pihalle ja sen jälkeen kun tulivat sisälle rojahdin nojatuoliin katsomaan teeveetä. Tovi vierähti ja yhtäkkiä aloin kuuntelemaan pientä vienoa ääntä joka tuntui tulevan jostain kaukaa. Hupsista, yksi pentu oli jäänyt ulos ja se pienin kaikista tietysti. Oli sillä hiukan kylmä mutta päästessään sisälle kiedoin sen fleece huopaan ja nojatuoliin nukkumaan. Näytti kyllä siltä, että viihtyi huomattavan hyvin.

The puppies own HopLop (children playground chain in Finland) isn't enough for them - at least in their own oppinion. Last weekend one of the girls just jumped on the sofa and from its back upstairs and to the freedom while all the others were screaming because they just couldn't understand how this was possible. Last weekend we had some visitors to look at the puppies and few of them left to their new homes. Unfortunately I have to say that one of them is going to be returned today. The reason has nothing to do with the puppy. I feel sorry for the puppy to have to travel back and forth and now she will stay home for a good while before she will become someone elses family member. Maybe that hectic Friday and Saturday were the reason for me to be so tired on Saturday evening. I let the pups out in the evening and after letting them inside again I just fell in my chair to watch tv. After a while I suddenly heard some small voice that seem to come far away. Oops, I had left one of the pups outside and it was the smallest of course. She was a bit cold when I let her inside but after wrapping her inside a fleece blanket and putting her in my chair to sleep she seemed to feel quite good.

Viikolla oli sitten vuoro hävitä tämä päivittäinen taistelu tiloista. Pennut eivät yksinkertaisesti pysyneet enää HopLopissa vaan karkailivat sieltä päivittäin ja useampia kertoja päivässä. Siirsin ne nukkumaan makuuhuoneeseen ja viettävät päivän myös yläkerran huoneessa lapsiportin takana. Tämä järjestely tuntuu sopivan hyvin. Illalla tietysti pääsevät sitten telmimään niin ulkona kuin sisälläkin. Myös sohvan ne ovat vallanneet. Vain pari pennuista hyppää sille mutta loput ovatkin keksineet pystyvänsä liukumaan yläkerrasta suoraan sohvalle :-)

During this week it was time for me to loose this battle of space. The puppies just didn't stay anymore in HopLop. They escaped from there daily and actually several times in a day. I moved them to the bedroom where they sleep and spend their day behind a childrens gate. This arrangement seems to work fine for them. During the evening they get to play outside and inside of course. They have also conquered the sofa. Only some of the puppies jump on the sofa but the rest of them have found out that they can glide from upstairs straight on it .-)
